BALUNJALI CULTURAL KAYAK TOURS
These experiences compliment the requirements of the new indigenous curriculum with our award winning indigenous tour on the Gold Coast.
Find out how your school can experience the Greatest Natural Adventure on the Gold Coast!

Balunjali facilitates day tour programs departing from Main Beach (just past Seaworld), on the Gold Coast to Wavebreak and South Stradbroke Islands, which offers an opportunity for school students to learn about indigenous culture with an active, outdoor, ‘hands – on’ approach.
Students journey by kayak with their guide, across the tranquil blue waters encountering wildlife: dolphins, turtles, stingrays and native birds.

Then it’s time to snorkel, feed the colorful sub-tropical fish and marvel at the wallabies as they participate with their guide in the journey from past to present, gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal cultural history as caretakers of the land.
Balunjali guides will awaken student’s senses to the nature that surrounds them and help them discover bush tucker as he paints a picture of the aboriginals, land and wildlife as it has been for thousands of years.
Now it's time for students to explore with their guide and participate in a mock hunt for the Golden Swamp Wallaby (unique to this island), discover other wildlife in its natural habitat and experience ancient Aboriginal ceremony.

Balunjali tours compliment the new indigenous school curriculum objectives as they offer an “authentic” and practical avenue for students to learn about indigenous history and culture within their region.
Balunjali can customise a tour specifically to suit your school budget, educational learning outcomes and school day/time requirements.
