Balunjali’s unique mix of tourism and community service involvement provides an ideal platform for Duke of Edinburgh participants to become involved through their licensed providers.
We can cater for elements of Physical Recreation, Skill-set, Volunteering, Adventurous Journey or a combination of all of the above.

We have extensive experience running programs for the Duke of Edinburgh Licensed Providers. These can be facilitated to cater for the elements of Physical Recreation, Skill, Volunteering, Adventurous Journey or a combination of all of the above. Balunjali has the benefit of being involved in both the tourism and community service sectors hence there is considerable scope for innovation and cross training in these areas within the programs we operate.
Service –
Duke of Edinburgh students can become involved with one of our existing community service programs such as Zero Limits or Jams as a way to develop and encourage active contribution back to the community. Students will learn to recognize the abilities of each individual, regardless of their physical limitations, and help them to reach their full potential. Our programs will provide the opportunity for each student to have valuable and meaningful social interaction with disadvantaged community members and break down social stigmas and barriers held for disabled people and those affected by racial discrimination.

Skills –
Balunjali can provide a comprehensive kayak instruction course on our beautiful Gold Coast Waterways. This is an exciting and relevant new skill to learn in our region as there is an abundance of canals and waterways so this maximizes the chance of this skillset becoming a sustainable interest for the student.
Physical Recreation –
Balunjali will encourage participation in physical activity and improve fitness for each student, as physical recreation is one of the core elements within all aspects of our programs. Balunjali recognizes that physical exercise is vital to a healthy mind and a healthy body.

Adventurous Journey –
Balunjali can custom design a camp that will encourage the spirit of adventure and discovery within all our participants. Balunjali facilitates remote and exciting recreational based camps, which are designed to offer students the opportunity to experience and learn more about our natural environment. Each of our unique expeditions utilizes traditional concepts within aboriginal culture to teach practical applications within day-to-day life.

we aim to help people to become more connected to themselves,
others and the environment.
